Worst 64 levels...? Couldn't have been that bad if you played through 64 levels. What kept you playing until level 64? No life?

Oh yea? Care to elaborate?

First point: I guess it really just depends on the person. To each his own.

Second point: Attacking me personally now are we? I didn't think we needed to go that low. I kept playing because my friends hit max lvl and were having fun. I wanted to reach it. Never did. Sold the account.

Third point: If the game can keep me interested with over 2 days play time (I usually play FPS, I have a hard time sticking to an MMO), it has to have some great low lvl content. The Tortage voices and story were nice, and the quests have been interesting for me. I am not saying the quests are anything new, as they are no different from WoW's, but the way they are executed somehow makes them worthwhile to do. I think AoC does a good job of immersing the player at lower lvls.

This game is by no means perfect, and needs work. But! I am enjoying it and it has a lot of potential to grow.

I guess its a good thing I decided not to play this game? I've seen a lot of hate from both FanBoy camps.

Theres no reason for WoW to make fun of AoC and no reason for AoC to make fun of WoW

The updated and real story. Age of conan is growing fast. You should edit your post and stop giving a good game a bad name.

This game is good... wow...

WoW has competition , brian ANONYMOUS posted this and was most likely affiliated with blizzard. It's a marketing tactic, and they can't prove blizzard did it.

WoW fanboys want WoW to stay the most popular to retain friends and not be "forced" to try something new. They will bash other games.

AoC fanboys are one of two categories.
1 ) Don't like the game but defend it anyways so everyone else gets "screwed" into buying it like they did. They want to portray the game to be godly, and usually are the ones to start debates.

2 ) Love the game and want to defend it from both the #1 AoC "fanboys" and the WoW fanboys. They find it hard however, because they are playing the game and thus most of their time is not spent arguing over forums or online.

Conclusion : Your not going to find many people on forums who actually like the game, they're too buy playing it.

I honestly wouldn't consider either "better"

They are extremely different.

But that also applies to WoW players. They may be playing rather then arguing over it.

I noticed that majority of actual WoW players haven't really taken notice to AoC.
Example I asked A few guildies what they thought about the game and most of them agreed that it was nice change but its not their type of game.

So my conclusion is that the game targets different type of MMO players.

I'm not *too* surprised (didn't read whole thread, tl;dr).

I actually really loved it for the first 30 levels. Then came this issues. Bugged quests galore. Inability to play this game leisurely (like open it up and play, my laptop hates this game and it's not a dated gaming laptop at all). When doing quests the respawn timers are a pain and I find myself waiting a good 5-10 minutes, if not longer depending on the amount of people waiting, just to kill one guy! The demonologists demon serves no purpose whatsoever, he does barely any damage and only gives a very small HP increase. Oh and also, I don't know how many times I have had to ask in chat about quests because the objective is either misleading or because the marker is off. If these issues were fixed I'd love the game probably.

I'm going to cancel for now I think. Can't deal with the frustrations. I'm still looking for an alternative to Farmcraft.
