socket 478 motherboard

i have a laptop with a intel pentium 4 socket 478 i want to build a whole computer around this cpu. i need a motherboard for it whats a good one

Errr a laptop with 478? Are you sure it's not a 479 socket? That was the mobile socket.


And umm is there a question in this thread or is it just a statement?

The only motherboard that supported mobile chips that I know of was the

"Asus N4L-VM DH"

Well if it's a P4 mobile then it's a 99.9% chance that it's a s479

You could download CPU-Z and it will tell you what socket.

Can you read off a model number or the specs listed on the top of the processor? - assuming it isn't lapped.

Edit: lol or CPU-Z could just tell you...doh?
