System Freeze - Page 3

From what I can tell, I would more quickly blame the ram than vista. Don't get me wrong, I was one of the biggest non-fans of it for the first year, but since SP1, it seems that most of the major problems are ironed out. Since I installed vista 64 bit, this computer is smoking fast and installs programs faster than I've ever seen in my life. A lot of people forget that xp was almost this bad when it first came out, there were more updates than anyone could ever count, and after all that it became a pretty decent OS. I think vista may be coming around now, but it still isn't perfect. Like why the hell can't I install drivers that aren't approved by M$FT? Whose computer is it anyway? Truthfully, I would still be running xp if it had directx 10. Anyway, I would try troubleshooting your system, try running your games without the new ram and see how it operates. Have you looked at the event log to see what froze it up?
