It's looking that way guys. I'm now installing my old P5N-E SLI I might try it with a quad core. that old P5N-E SLI has been a good board to me i have done loads of stuff to her and she ticks on poor old board. I think the OCZ reaper ram will be to much for it. i but my value ram back in it.

I've got me old P5N SLI installed now. She and old brut she will trackle anything. I give it another try tomorrow if no luck i'll have to RMA it

I went through more of these board than you can imagine. Asus is no longer a company worth contemplating alonger in my opinion.

apart the P5N E SLI she is an brut i've drop it, had TIM all over it and she still works what a robust board

That happened to me when I first booted up, had forgotten to attach the CPU power cable to the CPU power socket on the main board.... worked fine after plugging that in

i rma'd my striker board today and got a laugh out of it. The service teck at asus told me they check here and the asus web forums for solutions.... wow what a world we live in were the techs need to check out other peoples work.. Just to show eveybody that asus ain't the best, so to keep it a short story, if u got tech problems, don't call asus, check out the overclockers community first, then the asus web forum.
