[BitTech] 82% of gamers don't mind in-game ads - Page 3

In Planetside all of the sanctuary's have advertisements. They change about every month.

This months was a video of Will Ferrel promoting his recent movie "Semi-Pro". It was about 30 seconds long of him talking. One of the other ones I see frequently is a video about not driving drunk

Edit: The Will Ferrel one is him talking about the Old Spice deodorant and he just throws his movie in there

I don't mind ads so long as they're not popups or slow the game down somehow

Unless they help pay for the server I pay for they can bite me. In essence they want to make money off of my work running a server. pffft!

I think ads would be a good thing for the gaming companies.

Rockstar's GTA ads are always funny, like the Cluckin' Bell radio adverts and the Train Hard billboards that, after a certain mission in LS, have an S spraypainted on infront of the T in train. Also, Glory Hole Theme Park.

Places that are fine:

1. PC screens

3. Posters in markets. For example, Hellgate: London. I only saw ads in places that had store NPCs.

Places that are not fine:

1. Random spots in the middle of a battle field.
2. Limited usage or else in-game spam, lol.

Cheaper games with in-game ads (I highly doubt they'll make it completely free), or no ads at all if the prices for the consumer does not go down.
QFT

I really don't mind them, I pay more attention killing people then looking at ad's

I hate in-game ads, I remember buying CS 1.6 and seeing Orange Box ads everywhere, completely takes out me of the game. I paid for it, I own most of whats in the Orange Box, why do I have ads in-game?
