NEC Display Solutions of America has just announced that it is preparing the release of a new MultiSync Enterprise Advanced (EA) Series widescreen monitor, the EA261WM. The fresh 26-inch LCD features a thin and stylish frame and offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5 ms response time, 400cd/m² brightness and a 92% color gamut.

Set to go great with any working environment, the EA261WM is Windows Vista Premium compatible, has down-firing speakers, four USB ports and both VGA and DVI connectors.

"The new MultiSync EA Series brings premium NEC quality to those users who demand exceptional technology, rich features, top performance and high productivity," said Lynn Gu, Product Manager at NEC Display Solutions. "This exciting new series demonstrates our commitment to bringing the highest quality desktop displays to the enterprise market."

Backed by a three-year warranty, NEC's EA261WM will hit the stores in August and cost about $680.

Thats a nice design...I'd still go with a 24inch for that resolution...now if that monitor was 2560x1600 then i'd get it at the drop of a hat
