Smaller or Bigger monitors with the same res?

Quality of the exact products aside, is it better to have a higher concentration of pixels or bigger size of monitor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009124 - 22"

vs.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001257 - 20"

Both have the same res. Will the second one have better picture quality?

This one is better than both:

I don't mean the exact models, I mean is it better to have a smaller monitor with a high resolution or a big one with the same resolution? Will the image on the smaller monitor look sharper?

You're right, but it's too small to notice.

I have a 22'' and it looks amazing.

Depends on how far away you site. What are you using now? Do you notice pixels?

Check my sig for some pixel density charts.

I am now using a 1280x1020 19" X2gen LCD. I am about a foot and a half away from the monitor.

Your current density is roughly 7441 pixels/in^2 (or .0116 pixel size).

A 22" 1680x1050 LCD has a density of about 8108 pixels/in^2. Therefore, it is slightly denser than your current display. Do you notice pixels on your current monitor? Do you feel it is sharp enough?

I feel it's enough until I go to best buy and see ones with highers res.
