Motherboard powering up as soon as power is given.

Thread Starter
I recently tried installing a Tuniq Tower cooler to my sig rig. And i plugging all the cables in, switched the power button on the back of the powersupply, and the system power straight up from there, but did not post. I had no video sync whatsoever.

So, i started from scratch, and i cut power to everything but my motherboard, and GPU (CPU in mobo). And the problem is still reaccuring. Every time my 28 pin connector is connected to mobo, and i switch the power button on the back of the powersupply, the mobo powers on. I have everything disconnected but power to motherboard.

Please help, im lost at this point. I've never experianced this before.

I hope this is the right section to post too, if not please tell me.

Thank you.

Do you mean the option in bios to auto reboot when power is restored (aka a power failure to your house)

I'd unhook all the power plugs

And reconnect one at a time (make sure your CPU pin on mb and your gpu 6 pin are connected if applicable)

Sounds like a bad mobo. I've had a few do that to me.

Remove the Battery, short the CMOS, reinsert battery and if it's still doing the same thing it's a goner.

My cpu fan spins, and so does the gpu fan. Like you said, it powers on as soon as i flip the power switch without jumping the pwr switch...

So, from what people say, this board is dead?
