It's always the random little things that *no one* talks about that screw me up...

What should my Antialiasing - Transparency be set to in my nvidia control panel

Right now its currently at multisampling

I'm surprised no one really went over this cause it really takes a huge hit on you're pc's performance when you select supersampling

it should be off if u want fps. multisampling is like basically a mini AA. supersampling is AA basically.

Why are you setting your AA and AF settings in your nvidia control panel? It should be set to application settings allow the game to decide the aa and af settings. If you posted that turning if off gives your better fps then turn if off.

Everything else is set to application(AA, AF etc..) but my question is weather to set the AA transparency to multisampling or off cause supersampling is obviously to much for my system to handle

EDIT: You may not understand my drift cause I have an Nvidia card and we have different control panels

Like I said, if turning it off increases your fps then turn it off by all means. Have you sampled the difference leaving super sampling off and on? Is there a obvious difference with it on? If you cannot tell a obvious difference with it on then turn it off. Case closed.

If your asking me if I notice a visual difference between supersampling and multisampling the answer is yes, there is a difference. But I don't see a difference between it being off and multisampling

1. Set Nvidia Control Panel to "Let the application decide"

2. Play the game.

If you want AA, set it in the game itself.

There, you answered your original question. Do you want better fps or visual quality. You said it yourself in your previous post, turning off supersampling gives you better fps, if you want better performance leave it off, simple as that. You decide. Why do you keep renewing this thread with redundant questions?
