I can't seem to overclock past 3.2 Ghz on my E6600

My System specs are listed in my profile if you need to know.

The problem is that I managed to jump the FSB to 400, resulting in a 1600 FSB, and a 800Mhz for the Ram, and an 8x multiplier. The CPU core temps rarely breaks 50c, and idles at 30c, or 25c on a cool day, so I know it can go farther. The only problem is that when I set the multiplier to 9x, the system fails to boot unless I feed the northbridge/southbridge with +.1v. Even then, I get a blue screen upon boot up. At first, I thought it had something to do with having PC5300 ram with PC6400 ram, one default of 667mhz and another 800mhz, but I fed the ram with +.4v and stabilized the PC5300 to 800mhz so i can have a 1:1 ratio with the FSB.

btw, stepping of the cpu is B2

I'm stuck lol
Anyone have any suggestions ?

I went to 1.40 Volts before I felt that it was a bit drastic.

Your ram setup might be holding you back. There are 4 filled slots, that will stress your chipset while OCing. Try getting rid of the 2 512 MBs and see what you get.

Indeed. Get rid of your 512 sticks for starts.

Your CPU can go up to 1.5v as long as you keep the temps under 60C.
I need to run 1.42v on my vcore in order to get 3.4 GHz. (I don't have that great of a chip since stock vcore is 1.35v)

Okay, I took out the 512 sticks, and tried to overclock further. I tried the 9x multiplier but failed. SO I tried jumping from 400mhz to 450 mhz, and that didn't work either. I'm going to try again with higher CPU volts because I've been running it at 1.29v all this time.

Yea.. 1.29v isn't going to do much. That's even under the stock voltage.

If you want past 3.2 Ghz, you're going to have to take it up to the 1.4v+ zone.

Lol Yeah, probably. It's been working fine at 1.29v for 3.2Ghz though. Well, I tried setting up to 1.45v, and it still won't boot properly. Should I also add volts to ram, FSB, and the chipset too?

400+ FSB... yea i'd add some volts to FSB... i ran 1.4v FSB and it wouldnt boot into 3.2, bumped it to 1.5v (max for my board) and it booted fine.
