If you guys looked at the E3 interviews they were optimizing the game for a good amount of time before its release, and even then you guys are complaining that it cant run that well...

The game isn't mean to be easy on today's standard of graphics cards then and now, and you guys know that. Did anyone ever expect the game to run well on your PCs when it was released?
Crytek's primary goal was to make the most highly graphical shooter on the PC, and hell the game became a primary benchmark in a lot of reviews because of the way it stresses GPUs.
They admitted their mistakes and I don't see how complaining is ever going to help, be happy that they even released such a game yet release another one
Yes, I understand very well what I'm saying. Whether I believed them when they said a 8800 GTS would run it on Very High (or even High for that matter) is of no relevance. They said it and it turned out to be false. That's what matters. (Now they're saying Warhead will run great on a 8600 GT - we'll see how that goes.)
So they said at E3 they did a lot of optimizations. So what? What mattered was how well it ran not what they said or promised.
We're all aware of the fact that they said they wanted to make the best looking game, but it was really late in the game when they started claiming admitting might not be able to run it on existing hardware. Up until that time everybody was lead to believe a 8800 GTX would have no problem running Crysis in all its splendor.
Last, they didn't do you, me or anybody any favor for releasing the game so don't say we should be thankful. They released a commercial product expecting money in return.

I really, half to thank you all, especially BonnJovi and XenoRad. You replied to my clearly controversial post, brought an argument against it, proved some of it wrong, and did it all without flaming. Some people loved Crysis, others hated it, at least now I know why.

P.S. Multiplayer was ruined by the hackers, although Crytek should have probably done more to stop them.
