More Radiator questions!

Ok heres a pic of my setup, antec 900 with a black ice extreme 220 rad on top of the 200mm exaust fan with 2 tri cools pulling air through.

Now im thinking of either replacing with a 320 rad or just maybe adding a 2 or 320 rad. What would yield best performance? Also is that a bad place for my rad? i have the back 120 fan pulling air directly into the 200mm top exaust fan to make sure the air isnt to hot. umm yeah so ill just start with that !

Keep it and just add another one to the loop, that'll yeild the most performance

Top location is ok, you just need to watch where the air is coming from. You are cooling the coolant with the air going "INTO" the rad, so the cooler and fresher the better.

Lol the cleared nothing up in my head. So i checked temp and ambient is 24c and air right below 200mm fan is 26c Temps on hottest core at idle is 36C.

So your saying i should add another 320 or 220? will that kill my flow rate? IF i mounted another rad on the back of the case with a fan housing wouldnt that be way to much tubing to just set those up and then back into the case?

Not sure what pump you're using, but radiators and tubing are really low restriction compared to waterblocks. You can litterally string a dozen or more together and still be less restrictive than a high restriction nozzled CPU block.

You can check that in my estimator, but it's likely going to have plenty of flow. Heat dissipation is usually the one area that has the most opportunity to gain from people if they are willing to run multiple rads or big rads outside of the case.

hmm well full loop is mcp655>220 rad>fuzion v1>swiftech mcw30> res.....

Ok so guess next question would be the mounting, is there a way to keep my back intake fan running if i use...well leave it inside the case and use longer screws to put another fan housing with no fan on the back to but a nother rad on the back and then have it pull air towards the wall and away from the case?????

and would the difference between a 320 rad and 220 rad be worthwhile if i have 2?

Here's a nice stand off. Some put a piece of platic under it to blow the air from the case to the side. Standoff

As far as the 220 versus 320 the MCr's are only $15 more and I am a firm believer of having to much cooling rather than not enough.

lol yeah but im cheap and heard that simply using a fan housing with no fan it is no different than the radbox....screws through the full length would be just as sturdy. Any one can verify that would help And yeah i guess ill just grab a 320 when some money comes in.

just bought 4 gb of ballistix ram double sided and another 8800gt. Why...i dont know its more performance yet i play hl2 mods more then any other games. i cant even get crysis to work with 64bit vista. just says error and wont open

when u say 220 radiator what are u referencing i thought that a double 120mm radiator was considered a 240 and a triple was 360

im a little confused
