Will you be doing it with a 3870 or with the X2 in your sig?

X2, 4850 didn't show up today

One of XP's many limitations. 2GPU, no more.

It should be true because heterogeneous Crossfire is already part of Crossfire-X. This is more a confirmation that it's working right. Wonder what CPU they were using. I almost get that many 3dMarks with two 3870s.

Sorry for the bad news, but it turns out you won't be able to do mix 380xx with 48xx:

If you're talking about the P5K-E, the scaling may not be that great, since you'll be running x8/x8. Tweaktown did a comparison using 2 4850 on P45 vs. X48, and the P45 was very handicapped in certain scenarios. P35 might suffer more, since it won't have PCI-E 2.0. Here's the article, at any rate:

http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/14...nce/index.html

Right now I'm running one 4850 on a Gigabyte P35 (it only has one slot anyways) that I'm using as a placeholder until the Maximus arrives--hopefully later this week. I might do a few benchmarks to see if 1.0 vs. 2.0 makes any difference.
