102:47.8 good CFM to dBA ratio?

Thread Starter
Well I recently bought new fans which have a CFM of 102 and a dBA of 47.8. I tested 3 of them out and they are loud! I don't mind the loudness, but I was just wondering because I am putting two of them inside my case and 8 in a push-pull configuration on my Black Ice GTX480

Fm 121 does 110 CFM @ 40 db, so I would have to say average.

Well, I think in a price to performance/noise ratio I would win. I got 10 of them for $30 shipped.

for the price, you got what you paid for

My Scythe Ultra Kaze do 133 CFM at 43 db....$17 per fan. 100% worth it though

Where did you pay $17 per fan or is that with the shipping included?

You could either get 2 of those with a $30 budget by squeezing out a few more bucks or you can get 10 of my 102CFM fans.

Thats true, but when you don't have that much money, the rules change.
So lets say I have $30. Which would be better for me?

Well you have water cooling, plus you said you have already bought them and you don't mind the noise. So I guess they are best for you.

Although i'd of got these http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cust...productid=5425

The Ultra Kaze's are only $10.99 from Petras:

I have six of'm in pull on two PA120.3s. I also have them on a fan controller and only crank'm up when gaming. I don't really have to max them out, though, so even gaming is not unbearable.
