i dont think it makes anymore stupid ppl it just makes the stupid ppl sound more abundant cuz they all, like yall said, skim over stuff then go to thier retarded blogs and myspace pages and start regurgitating all thier ignorance. so basically the internet just gives the morons just as much stage time as it does the deserving, and we just notice the morons more.

I completely agree. I have been predicting this trend will come about for years. I have been an internet addict since Windows 95 was cutting edge.

Some of the older people around here will attest that back then, you had to know how to build a computer just to keep the thing running right, if you wanted a program to do something special you had to learn code, and overclocking was done by swapping around jumpers and soldering motherboards, then testing connections with a multimeter. I remember going to the library (for those who do not know what that is, it is a place where they loan you these things called books) to do research on how computers work.

Today it does not take the intense research and learning to find out how to do something. All you have to do is "Google" it. I love Google and other search engines, but they are what is encouraging us to become lazy thinkers.

However anyway I do think that you do tend to skip over contents rather than read all of it sometimes.
I've been trying to get FAIL to be a banned word. It is not funny and it makes you sound like you're ten. "OMG FAIL BOAT ROFL".

hmmm, i guess that if i didnt have the internet, i'd have done much better in my GCSE's.

however, i wouldnt have the same knowledge of computers, software, politics, science etc.

some of my friends on msn are lazy typers (?) and i can only imagine that'll make them bad spellers when it comes down to it.

short attention span? yes, definitely. i cant really sit down and do nothing like lay outside for more than 5minutes without then getting up (trying to get a tan lol)
