Question About E7200 and GA-P35-DS3L

Thread Starter
Hi I have a question about overclocking the E7200 on a GA-P35-DS3L board specifically. Please don't redirect me and link me elsewhere to any threads I would rather hear some examples or suggestions. I successfully overclocked my E7200 to 3.8GHz using a 400FSB and 9.5 multiplier at 1.33v. However, I need to know, since the GA-P35-DS3L board isn't meant to run at such a high FSB, should I raise the voltage on my G(MCH) or any other voltages for better stability? It seems to run fine now but I do feel it runs a bit heavy and I can't imagine running a FSB that isn't supported officially by the board without adding any voltage. Give some examples if you too have a E7200 and GA-P35-DS3L. Either way, any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

1.Gigabyte makes your board, not MSI
2.Example (mine)
E8400 w/9x multiplier, 3.0ghz stock, 333fsb
3.6ghz overclock, 400fsb
only voltage added: v core
3.8ghz overclock, 423fsb
voltage added:
+ v core
MCH + .01
FSB + .01

here's a link for the hell of it:

Don't know about you guys, but my DS3L can do a 450 FSB no problem...so 400 FSB isn't that bad. And make sure you have the F8f BIOS, the DS3L has the wrong info for 45nm chips if you don't have a BIOS newer than F8b I think.

Yeah im running the F8f bios. But the problem is. I run Crysis sometimes on all high and i get 60 FPS but other times i get 30 FPS, which what i usually get on very high. Why do you think that is?

BTW thanks for the MSI/Gigabyte correction, i meant to write that i dunno i kinda zoned out there for a bit.
