Why do you need to? If you do so you won't notice any performance gain at all.

OCing your RAM is done through your BIOS. Check out this thread Here.

Yeah if you are new to OCing ram then please do read that thread before you touch anything.

You're trying to OC that chip on stock cooling?

And your RAM should be fine, but the chip might not be getting enough voltage. Keep an eye on those temps (use RealTemp), though you really shouldn't attempt overclocking when you're running on the stock heatsink.

ya the ram is most likely not your problem unless it can't handle the timings you are trying to run. Everything with ram is done in the bios.

You mean underclock right? Set the divider lower if it's going too high lol. Your ram overclocks as you up your fsb, why has everyone failed to notice this lol

Get after market cooling, P5Ne-SLI isn't reallly the best for OCing e8400's I used to have one. You probably should get some DDR2800 memory though, this will let you have a larger bandwidth and your memory is in direct relation to the max OC you can get out of your processor on your motherboard, even if you never touch your memory settings. Also in your settings make sure you have the FSB and your RAM unlinked.

The ram timings in bios is all auto. And yeah i'm stock cooling on my cpu but i'm not too high on temps. At full load with 1.3652 i had around 58° but in cpu-z i have a HUGE vdroop and only 1.218v through cpu at full load. How can i stop that vdroop???That should be my problem with my oc i really can't get it stable at all.And a short time stresser anyone knows? thank you
