I just picked these up for my latest build and personally I like how they look. I'll let you know how they work out but I can tell you right now they are very tight when released...the ones for 1/2 OD are about .359 when unsprung (didn't check the 5/8 I got). Cheap too...1/2" were 50/$8 and the 5/8" were 25/$8 and are stainless steel so no rusting. I got them from McMaster Carr. That place doesn't get enough press here IMHO...for raw materials and basic hardware (fasteners and such) they can't be beat. They do have the nylon snap-grip clamps (both single and double) if you like those, 20/$9.
