ECS N8800GT 512MX+ - Mobo won't accept

Ok, I just bought an ECS N8800GT 512MX+ silent video card to replace my superloud 8600GT, but I can't get my motherboard to register it as being inserted correctly. I have a GA-P35-D3SL motherboard and it just emits a high-pitched whistle whenever I power on the computer. Any ideas or did I get a bum card?

did you plug in the required 6 pin connector at the back of the video card?

Exact same thing happened to me. The 8800s make that noise when they don't receive proper power. Make sure you have the power supply plugged in correctly and facing the right way. Make sure it's plugged in all the way too. I thought I had it all the way in, but it was out just a little and the GPU wouldn't start.
