Hi!, i just saw the HD4850 and i was thinking about running these in crossfire and forgetting the 9600gt sli plan so i need a budget board that supports crossfire and intel 775 processors and good overclocking...thanks

You would need a X38 like the other two posts before me have recommended as they do x16/x16 CrossFire unlike the P35/45 which only go up to x16/x4 or x8 (x4 for P35 and x8 for P45).

That lets both cards run at normal speeds instead of having a x16 4850 and a technically crippled(?) 4850 running at half or a quarter of its bandwidth/speed. It's determined by the NB chip.

I remember seeing DFI with the cheapest X38 board around ~$180 or something.

The P45 is 8/8, not 16/8.

Haha, sorry about that. I'm not 100% sure about those kinds of things since it just recently came out. At least it's one more reason to get a X38.

Bad Cartman

The DFI X38 is a good OCer, I had my Q6600 up to a stable mid 3700 range on it. Nice layout, very solid MB.
