Ran Into a Slight Problem..

Thread Starter
Alright this is my current problem, as you can see from my system specs i am running a Intel e6700. From reading around i decided to use orthos as my "Torture Test" Software. I have been at this for a day or two now slowly trying to Clock my Processor to 3.5ghz. Ok, problem is i've achieved 3.5ghz without a heating issue and have been able to run orthos at every clock up to 3.5ghz. For some reason now at the 3.5ghz mark i try to run orthos, it runs for about 7-8sec then gives an error and im not as to why. Please, looking for any suggestion or Help. Ty in advance.

Most BIOS list it as GMCH voltage. Having your BIOS voltage controls set to Auto isn't recomended for OCing.

SPP is the northbridge, MCP is the southbridge.

You could try a 1.5 on the northbridge, but that shouldnt b necessary.

What I would do is lower the cpu multi by one, then get your motherboard settings stable at the FSB you have been using for 3.5, once you do that, bump the multi back up and play around with the vcore to get the cpu stable.
