alright i have increased the NB voltage up to 1.5v and still having same problem as when it was 1.4v so im assuming there must be a diff issue here. Could be that i need to increase my vcore more?

I saw someone with a 680 that the nb overheated.
You may need more vcore If your processor is like this one

hmm, this a possibility guess its worth the risk to try right.. i know max is 1.5v so guess i still have some head room. will go raise vcore and bring nb down to 1.4v again.

You should read up on 680i heat issues, they are miniature nuclear reactors at creating heat.

oh believe me i know, but im close to a stable 3.5ghz overclock, my only problem is i can run orthos np with good temps up to this 3.5ghz clock speed. so i was asking why if any reason can i not run it at 3.5ghz for more then 7-10sec before recieving a error
