Having issues

Thread Starter
I just built a new PC the other day. The problem is my PC keeps crashing. It has crashed two times while in game (Playing Crysis one time and COD4 the other). And a few times while doing normal things out side of game. I have no idea what it could, but I am kind of suspecting the motherboard is unstable.

Any ideas on how to fix it, what the problem could be, or what hardware/software device/program that could be causing it?

My PC specs are...

-Windows Vista Ultimate x64 (With all updates)
-EVGA nForce 790i Ultra Motherboard (With most recent drivers)
-EVGA 9800 GTX (With most recent drivers)
-Inte Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield 2.66 GHz
-OCZ GameXStream 700W ATX power supply
-OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR 1333 (PC3 10666)
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB Hard drive.

if just in games..and not in OS..then my guess is your PSU. I am not saying it is not enough to support your system, but it might be faulty. When you play games and such, your system loads up, thus using more power.

Also you can run memtest to see if your ram is ok too.

It has done it twice in game after playing about 20-30min, then 3-4 times when doing normal OS functions.

What are the voltages? idle/load on CPU/GPU.

Is everything stock clocked or overclocked, if overclocked, make everything stock and see what happens.

Run atitool for example to load the video card to see what temps they go up to, then load the CPU with prime/orthos and observe the temps on the CPU.
