Lol yesterday I had to send them an email to re-activate Bioshock after reformatting because I was out of activations lol. Well I could have just waited one day lol!

Yes I know they have this thing where you but the licence but not the game, not sure if it's the same with music however... but I think that's what needs to be scrapped. All the system is in aid of it to make that cake shop owner more money by limiting each person to a seperate cake

Sorry if that was off-topic or against the rules
The difference being that if you were to decide to give him this said cake, you would no longer have it. You could not somehow make a exact copy of this cake and give it to him so you both could have your cake and eat it too.

Well clearly my hands are clean or I wouldn't have said anything. You implying otherwise, especially since there is no way you would have proof, is just pathetic. No matter what lame excuses you or anyone else comes up with it's still stealing.

We are gonna run into trouble when people make cake copying machines and cake bit torrents. Will have to look out for the CIAA(Cake Industry Association of America) with all their Cake infringement cases.

I agree with you, but a more accurate metaphor would be if you both tried to eat the SAME piece of cake, it just doesn't work .

Nobodys hands are clean. You may not steal softwares & IPs, but nobody is perfect.

Thread Starter
I used a cake anology because I thought it was funny and it was a random and the most innocent thing that popped into my head. I thought people would have enough brains to see the point i was making anyway lol As for the mention of making a copy of the cake, I never mentioned copying, just being able to share. There are lines in there that are crossed if course but that's not what I mean. I'd like to be able to lend someone a cd which I do a lot and let them use it on their PC for a while. They can then give me the disk back later. This for some reason seems to be illegal and indeed I've had a couple of games that wouldn't let itself install on their PC.

Whatever. I'll call a thief a "thief" any time I want to, and I will be more than valid in doing so. Even if I did worse things than stealing I would still be correct in calling them a thief.
