What do you think about this?

He is into gaming but not a hardcore gamer.

You may want to change the PSU to the Corsair 620, it's a little better in terms of quality and ease of use.

Great config, well balanced and very powerful. I tend to advise people that have an extra $ to get also a Zalman MFC2 (fan controller) and a card reader (ones that you place in the floppy drive). Good idea the Corsair PSU.

My 2 cents.

I was unsure about what type of fan controller to get just because I've heard different opinions about them, but if you really recommend it i'll throw it in for him. I would've probably bought one at some point anyway, but I don't think I am going to buy through newegg, because they are out of stock of Ultra Kaze fans and I really wanted to pick up a few of those too.

One quick question, would it be worth it for me to wait for the 9800GTX+?

I have read some really good things about it and I am really considering it over the 4850. It is supposed to be about 20$ more.
