I dunno about the quad as i don't own one but all i do know is that this is even a better overclocker than my DS3R for my E6300.

3.6ghz stable at 1.4vcore...

The EVGA 750i FTW has been getting a lot of praise. Check out this 750i FTW Overclock thread.

The 750i FTW is basically a feature reduced 780i (less USB/ethernet/SATA ports and no Tri-SLI), but otherwise is the same board with the same northbridge chipset. Overclocking is very similar if not the same as the 780i. You shouldn't have any problem overclocking a Quad with it. It has the same GTL reference voltage adjusters which make for better, more stable Quad OC'ing compared to the 680i chipsets. I recommend the board, especially if you're considering SLI.

great board. got my Q6600 to 3.6GHz no problem.

only get one if u plan to SLI, however. That is the main purpose of the nvidia chipset.
