New Soundcard Installed!! Need a little bit of help with 5.1 and Subwoofer

This is the card
http://www.soundblaster.com/products...&product=14066

It was a HP OEM but i was able to mod the official drivers and it installed perfectly. going out from the soundcard using a coaxial cable with this adapter:

and into my receiver.

Everything is all great except when I go to switch it to 5.1 the 2 fronts, and center speakers work great, but the sub is coming from the center, and the two rears are coming from the 2 fronts.

Anyone know why this may be doing this...

...ok I think I figured it out, the only way this card can only go digital through 2.1 with no sub, which i kind of should have known.

Oh well back to my onboard sound i guess..

Please don't go back to onboard, its so bad. The XtremeMusic is definitely a good sound card too. I would recommend that you use the standard analog jacks (green, black and orange) for music listening. Just the thought of you with a XtremeMusic in your possession and going back to onboard makes me sick.

Welcome to OCN btw.

How could i go analog to a receiver though? Everything audio (TV, Xbox, Wii, Record Player) are all going through the receiver and I really don't have another option (besides getting separate speakers for my computer which I really don't want to do.)

Redco.com has a ton of adapters and splitters that you could combine in a certain configuration to get the signal from the PC sound card to your receiver. If you don’t have a free 5.1 analog input on your receiver you could use a two RCA female to one male RCA adapter and convert the 3.5mm output on the pc sound card to RCA and have it like that. Basically two input sources to one input switch on the receiver. Just a thought.
