Opportunity for slight upgrade....hard decisions

Alrite heres the story i have a chance to upgrade im selling my mobo/proc/hard drive to my work for a extra computer. The problem arises in choosing whether to make the change to intel or stick with AMD and the phenom. im trying to stay under $500 for the mobo processor and hard drive. any suggestions i priced a few things out...

Few of those links don't work, only one that worked for me is the Intel CPU link.
It may be my lame connection though.

Anyway I switched from AMD to Intel not so long ago and havn't regretted it
I bet you won't either, as for the processor i'd stay away from the Q9300 and go with a Q9450 or a Q6600, The Q9300 has a lower mutlipier then both from what i've heard anyway.. The other two are better for overclocking too apparently..

It really all depends on you, Intel is overclocking much better right now so if that is important to you go with Intel, but AMD does have the lower prices going for it...

Bang for the buck, AMD, future upgrades and overclockability, Intel. I love AMD, I hate how they change sockets every week. Socket 775 has been around for quite awhile.
