7900gt "no video signal" HELP?

Thread Starter
I just installed my previous rig (7900gt/asus a8n32 sli/see sig) into another case with an older ide hard drive and when I hook up the monitor to the video card it displays "no signal". The pc is booting fine, the green light is on motherboard, there are no post beeps (although they did in the previous pc case). I have tried dvi to vga adaptor and vga cable and no video will display..the old dells works fine on the monitor. That video card fan is running fine on the card but it shows no video signal. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

First fix I would try is placing RAM in slots A2 & B2 or A1 & B1 instead of the default A1/A2 config. I don't know why this works - but sometimes it does.

Next - If still having the problem...try a single stick. Try all the slots and see if any work.

If this doesn't work, then give a shot at clearing the CMOS. Also - someone recently had a similar problem and it was caused by the CMOS battery being dead.

After that - I'm afraid I have no more try's for you.

Good Luck - keep us updated.
