best upgrade for a small price?

Thread Starter
I love to do benchmarking, and just recently bought a 1 gig 8800gt with the akimbo cooler built in, it took me from about 5500 points to 7500 points in 3d mark06, replacing my 8600gts. I think I can get alot more out of my system, but my cpu is a 3.2 gig pentium-d, i was wondering what would be a good replacement for it, for a good price? I'm sure thats my bottleneck, i have 2 gigs of ram and all with windows xp pro. Also, does anyone have some good links to get my mark06 scores up? thanks in advance!

Try putting in a E8400. It's around $200 on newegg.
