Gaming PC: Ultra low budget--Help

Thread Starter
I made a thread a couple weeks ago about a $500 budget gaming pc for my dad. That wasn't a problem, but now he wants me to get it as low as I possibly can. So I'm trying to cut this down to $400 without losing much performance.

So far, here is what I have come up with.

GIGABYTE GA-P35-S3G

Geforce 8800GS

Intel Pentium E2160

SUPER TALENT 2GB

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB

So far the total is $352 and all I need is a psu and optical drive. If someone could suggest something while keeping this below $400 that would really help. Feel free on suggesting anything else also.

Do you have a case?

Also, with the 48x0 series, nvidia will be lowering the prices on 8 series and 9 series, dropping resale value significantly. It might be in your best interest to pick up a use one as people flock the to the latest for upgrades.

Power supply, scour newegg for MIR deals, you can get a pretty good price on ~550W decent amperage PSUs for 20-30 after MIR.
500W 14A 15A thermaltake $40 after MIR
As for optical, see if you can find someone you can bum a dvd-rom drive off of, that is the bare minimum you can deal with.
$16 dvd rom

You should also look into the fact that most of the combo deals with the card your looking at are power supplies.
