Which gives more performance?

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
I'm on a quest, with my crappy 4600+, to break 10k 3dMarks. I've gotten 9930, so I am very close. MY GPU is OC'd to it's limit, and my CPU doesn't venture far past 2720 anymore.

I'm able to get my ram to about 233 stable, but since my Processor won't push that high anymore, I'm kind of stuck at 225~. That's not bad anyway. I was thinking though, I got 9930 on a 908 HTT, 227x4. I can get my HTT up to about 1050, maybe more, maybe less, and it will run. This means that my RAM and CPU will take a hit, though.

The most practical settings would be these.

FSB = 255
HT X = 4
HTT = 1020
CPU Multi = 10.5
CPU Clock = 2677.5
RAM = 333MHz
RAM Clock = 212.5

My RAM's timings are very tight, so this may be good for it, though. What I'm seeing is a 112MHz increase to the HTT, about 36MHz decrease to CPU, and a 14MHz decrease to my RAM.

So, what do you all think? Would a 112MHz increase in the HTT show profitable results?

only thing that will show a major difference is cpu speed, cores, and maybe ram speed...idk about its timings though
