one res 2 loop setup pics??

Thread Starter
need pics of dual loop using single res. anyone got a setup like this? i'm going to separate my cpu to one loop and my gpu/nb on another loop. how would i apply a "y" fitting into the setup? or should i just do 2 loops i don't really want to conserve space.

No point in separating the CPU and NB/GPU if the same water will meet at the same res. It would actually be bad for the flow that most likely a single loop will outperform it.

only way i thought this would work is if u had 4 port reservoir. 2 inlet 2 outlet. Something like this but i dont know how the flow is gunna be.

you so do not want to do what you are asking for...

each loop has to have its own water source. That is the point of having muli. loops.

For Example:

one loop for the CPU...

Then another loop on your sb/nb...

third loop on your vid card...

Each one of these examples will maintain different water temps, so you want to keep the water separated to avoid warm water from the CPU going though a video card block... This would work, but if you have a significant temperature difference between each component on air, them those temps will translate similarly to water cooling...

So, if you have the space/funds, and are willing to deal with the chaos, go for seprate loops, with separate res. You can also get away with multi block single loop option that would have a bigger res and rad...

you might be able to do it with this res:

...but the question is "why?" Either go with two separate loops or a single loop for the reasons others have noted.

If you're just avoiding buying another RES, just fit the other in a T-Line so that it's truly an independent 2nd loop.
