Sell current 8800GT, but 4850, save for 4870x2... Damn, you have a 780i...

I would save my money and go Nehalem in 5 months.
Blackbox.

Thus making me unable to have Sli? Are two 8800GTs still better or is the GTX 280 going to take the lead? Don't worry about price, I just want to know which is better!

GTX 280 beats 88GTs in SLI.

I want real world results over scores which I assume you mean 3dmark?

@RussianGrimmReaper
Really? Is CrossfireX the equivalent to TriSli/QuadSli.
If 2x4850=1xGTX280 then;
2*GTX280>2*4850>GTX 280>2*88GT>4850>88GT?

Ok... I get the idea that I need to upgrade my graphics card. Lets argue the specifics a bit later. Seeing as the playing field might be completely changed when the GTX260 and 4870 come out. The problem that I think with buying a ATi Card then going Crossfire is that Nvidia's TWIMTBP is owning the ATI equivalent (Do they even have one?!?) and I'm only 15 and although I should be able to afford the upgrades in a month or two my dad still has final say so if he sees that I'm swapping out a motherboard AND a graphics card... He might go a little crazy.

Right now I believe the order of GPU power is; (correct me if I'm wrong)

3*GTX280>
2*9800Gx2>
2*GTX280=9800Gx2=2*4850>
2*8800GT>
4850>
8800GT

CPU vs GPU upgrade? Which one would get me better fps in games? When I overclocked from 3.2Ghz->3.6Ghz, CoD4 fps are triple digits @ 1680x1050 whereas @3.2Ghz 1280x1024 fps were 30-60fps. I'm sooo confused.
Is the q6600 able to reach 4.0Ghz possibly 4.5Ghz on Peltier Cooling? (Option 1)
Thanks for contributing!

Nehalem requires a new motherboard as it does not fit on the Socket 775, at least thats what I heard.

Just overclock your CPU more. CFX is ATI's equivalent of SLI, whether its 2, 3, or 4 cards, it's called CFX. As for NVidia's little marketing scheme? Well, ATI and Blizzard(Just merged with Activision) just teamed up. Guess who's advertising is going to be in the SC2 installation? If you buy a VapoChil, you can easily hit 4.5Ghz, but I don't recommend running it 24/7.

You forgot to mention that Nehalem will have no SLI motherboards!

My q6600 is at the max it can be with my cooling right now (3.6Ghz). Thats why I put the Freezone Elite in there as an option. TEC/Peltier Water Cooling will definitely get my Q6600 over 4Ghz. With adequate cooling do you think I can hit 4 or 4.5Ghz 24/7 @ 1.5v or less voltage. 1.51v is the threshold Intel put.

yeah and that. Nvidia wont give Intel SLI and Intel wont give Nvidia blahblahblah...

Intel states the max for the Q66 is 1.55v. How much voltage does it need to be at 3.6? Have you increased the GTL Reference voltage at all? What are your other voltages?
