To answer your Qs, don't force memory speeds down yet, loosen timings to say... 5-5-5-20 and try again, what temps do you get btw with that cooler?

Currently from the PREviews I have read... The R7700 is anywhere from same performance to a GTX280 to about 25% and drivers still need to be released. GTX280 SLI is similar to the R770, maybe the GT200b will absolutely kick its butt though.
The 980GTX+ isn't an improvement over the vanila 9800GTX. It has the same stock clocks as the EVGA KO version but costs another $20.

The GT200b isn't going to change the high performance crown. It's just going to make it easier for NVidia to drop the prices without sacrificing more profit.

But making it smaller means Nvidia can drop the prices lower (if required), the chip itself should run cooler, and because of that have a better overclocking capability.

But nothing is really final so yep I'm just speculating.

Chances are, they will just up the core clocks eliminating and potential power saving and heat reduction. The GPU is still going to have terrible yields(hopefully in the 50's though :swearing and will probably cost just over $100 for each GPU. I don't think it will be a whole lot cheaper

Hmm... I was hoping for better though .

So it will be better performing (marginally) thats for sure, my next card is going to be watercooling so it will be cool (and hopefully quiet), air cooling is good $$$ wise but water just goes that extra bit and I love the idea of a 4.0Ghz< Quad Core

EDIT:
Have you read this?
http://www.techpowerup.com/index.php?65577

I reckon they are INSANE overclocks for the stock cooler, I think it MIGHT be the GT200b, what do you think?

EDIT 2:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=GX-068-EA
That is the EVGA SSC Edition which has clocks no where near the first link
