Trying to get stable. AM2 4800+ Brisbane - Page 2

What are you using to measure your temps? I have nearly the same setup as you, and i'm still on stock cooling as well (although i'm working on mounting an old 92mm fan thats in a 80mm fan body on the stock heatsink, just because its free and i figure it should do better than the stock fan). I've been using the hardware monitor that came with the board, but i dont trust it. The temps seem to jump around way to much to be true.
oh and the reason that your ram is underclocked at stock speeds is because of your CPU multi, its kinda long and complicated to explain, but when the multi is an odd, or rounds to an odd, the math doesn't work out quite right and the ram ends up being underclocked (so if you dropped the multi down to 12 you'd pick up some ram speed if you didn't change the divider).

2.8 should be no problem with 1.35v

check here for different set ups with the 4800's

Fark!!!!

Hit another freaking roadblock.
While I was able to get it Prime stable at 2.8, 225fsb
whenever I restart my computer after the overclock, farking thing wont post!

Oh and I cannot get Vcore anyhigher than 1.328. My motherboard has two different settings where you can mess with the Vcore, first one goes as high as 1.35 (which is what I set it to) and the next one lets you add vcore in like .015 incriments, but guess what no matter how much you add it does nothing. No increase in vcore what so ever past 1.328
