home made mine pressure mod. WHAT DO YOU THINK?! - Page 3

well the readings are correct because i have both core temp and speed fan and they say the same thing so does my performance monitor utility from gigabyte, i don't really feel like killing my new quad so can i just run it @ 1.44 even if it does not do 4 hrs? cuz i can game with it i can stress with occt all night and nothing happens

Well, temps ruled out, the problem is the Vcore. You need to give it more juice to keep it stable, OR lower your clock by about 40mhz and see how it fares with the same Vcore.

hmm will do al do it later to day before i go to sleep, i still have to lap it am not sure what kind of temp drop i should be expecting but i hop it will keep me under 60 if i go all the way to 3000 grit

well made huge progress today after work, i lapped the quad


then did some cable management, (i know my cooler is facing the wrong way i will fix tommorow am a lil sleepy)

That be one of the best laps I seen in a while! I had to stop at 600 grit because the local Reno Depot sucks.

Try to get a 120mm in the front drive bays, and an 80mm on the bottom right, and you're good to go!

One thing I've seen is using zip-ties on the huge IDE wire to make it thinner and round, might wanna try that.

well i got a 120 in front of the drive bay but the 80mm i need, as for the ide the only thing on it is my second drive which all switch out for a sata soon anyway but fr now its off to micro center for zip ties

ya i also uped the voltage from 1.46-1.52 so lapping the quad helped a lot i was surprised one again

Higher Vcore + Higher OC + Cooler temps = Epic Win!
