For laptop users!

Thread Starter
This thread is to lower your processor stock voltage to cool temps and use less battery life on your laptop. Not all processors can run stable on lower voltages!!

Steps:

1. Download Rightmark CPU Clock Utility & DoubleMark - Orthos

2. Start up Rightmark CPU Clock Utility and select (2)"Profiles"

3. Find (3)"CPU performance States editor" (if nothing shows up, your lap isn't support)

4. Now JUST checkmark the (4)lowest # and highest number under (4)"Index"

5. Lowest #, put the lowest voltage (I never had a case where the processor was unstable with the lowest voltage on lowest speed. If this does however make it unstable. Raise the voltage up until its stable)

6. Highest #, put A lower voltage than stock (ex: 1.38v to 1.35v)

7. Now find (7)"Profile selection" in (2)"Profiles". Make sure its setup like this

AC Power:
Current: Maximal Performance
Startup: Maximal Performance

Battery:
Current: Power saving
Startup: Power saving

8. Now we have to enable the processor to run are new voltages. Double click on (8)"Profiles" and find (8)"Maximal Performance"

9. Find and checkmark (9)"Use P-state transitions (PST)" under (9)"AC power" & Find - Checkmark the Highest (9)"Index" Number (#)

10. Repeat this for (10)"Power saving". However Find (10)"Use P-state transitions (PST)" under "battery" and enable the lowest (10)"index" Number (#)

11. Open "Orthos" or "Doublemark" and run A Stress test. If passed over 24 hours. Lower it more until you find a stable voltage for your processor speed
