I just grabbed the $150 HD4850 from BB. It idles at 80c !!!

Way too hot for my liking. I installed the hotfix but the temps are the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the Hotfix ? It didnt work for me but some are saying it reduced temps to 65-70 @ load.

The hotfix did NOTHING! I don't want to kill this damn card with hours of gaming. Will it be O.K>?

Could this be a problem with Visiontek cards? People reporting these problems seem to all have visiontek.
