Wrong. When in steam on the games tab in the bottom left click "Add non-steam game..." and then choose the game from the list of installed aplications that come up. If it isnt there then use "Browse..." to find the .exe of the game you want to add.

It will then add a shortcut to the game in the games list. When you launch the game from steam using this shortcut you will be able to use the game overlay (ie friends and chat etc). All the games i've got it works on.

Steam>xfire

Yes, but you don't get to keep jesus, just have him hang around and entertain you until his daddy runs out of cash to maintain his servers.

I do enjoy having physical copies of discs, but I'm weak, and will go for whichever option is the cheapest.

Slightly more on topic, I've seen day of defeat and red orchestra free weekends in the past. It's a nice way to get people hooked and wanting more. I think the ads for this TF2 trial weekend were a bit late, I didnt notice them myself till thursday (not an issue for me since i have TF2), and that leaves what? 2 days to download a couple GB? Not on my connection sally!
