im not doggin 32" 720p tvs because i have a 32" samsung as secondary monitor for movies and such.

back on topic:
i dont know how long you could go with using a tv as a monitor because of its lower resolutions. its kind of a strain on the eyes especially if you are doing any type of work involving spreadsheets or word i would think.

i currently use a 20" Dell Ultrasharp as primary monitor for work and TV as media so that is a suggestion.
That is not back on topic....

It's not a waste of money to ME, I am not dishing out 1500$ for a 30" monitor that I can never have a secondary use for.

I don't want a 20" that is way too small for gaming/movies, now answer the original question please.

To clear anything up, I use my laptop pretty much for everything else.

Actually you can use a plasma as a monitor, You just have to let it kick in with some tests for a 1000+ hours. The tests are blank bright/white screens that you leave on for a long time. I haven't had any image retention or burn in after the tests.

They don't make a 32" or less plasma's so it's moot.

PC's look like crap on my 42" and is not suitable for desktop usage.
