coz there isnt 1.3 ....

anyway im with everyone else...i wanna believe, but we'll have to wait and see. if this is true, the 4870 is definitely gonna be my next card. nipping at the heels of the GTX280 is awesome, and with some overclocking, we may even be able to match a stock 280.

You forgot to mention to all the readers of this thread: "FOR LESS THAN HALF THE COST"

Read my sig if you want to know why I'm so annoying.

I was talking about a single HD4870. But yes, your deal on the 4850s is much much better than a single HD4870.

Off Topic: When do you think you're going to get an X38/X48?

I need money first

Probably within a few months though, and then I'll probably sell one of the cards (if it hasn't sold already in my for sale thread) for a HD4870X2. Maybe.

I dunno, I can max everything except for Crysis so far at 1920x1200. And that's with one card.

$70 and $100 are a large difference.
Then why are the GTX 260 and GTX 280 on the charts?

The HD4850 didn't have any problems with AA, I highly doubt that faster clock speeds and GDDR5 are going to kill AA performance.

And I'm pretty sure it was AF performance that crippled the cards, not AA.

And AF does not cripple the 4000 series =]

If they did, the ATI cards would be leading. This almost leads me to believe that this graph isn't really "official". The HD4850 takes a very low performance hit from enabling AA, and I would think that would be something they want to highlight.
