It's slightly better than the 8800GTX, but with Anti-Aliasing, the 8800GTX beats the 9800GTX in Crysis. Your call.

(I found these benchmarks on Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ew,1800-7.html)

It's not really a deal since NVidia dropped all the 9800GTX prices to 199 and are releasing the 9800GTX+. You can thank ATI's HD4850 btw.

Also: those benchmarks are quite out of date. The 9800GTX beats the 8800GTX by a larger margin now. 10-15% on average for resolutions less than 1920x1200. The 88GTX closes the gap at 2560x1600, but is still slower.

No the upgrade isnt worth it. 8800GTX is still a killer card and I do believe the 9800 is just a rebadged 8800...

The 9800GTX is an 8800GT that has 128 SPs, faster memory, and increased core speed. It also has Tri-SLI. Te 9800GTX+(229) is a 55nm rehash) You do know that the G92 is a 65nm rehash of the G80 right?

There are only a few 9800GTX's that are $200. All of the Evga cards are $200 and there is one PNY that is $200 as well.

Well seeing that the MSI 9800GTX with the same clock speed, is $309.99, I can say this is a deal.

Depending on your budget, and how much gaming you do, the 8800GT is still a great card.

Your current hardware would probably bottleneck a 9800GTX, maybe even an 8800GT, it's hard to tell.
