GA's N650i board not supporting 45nm

Thread Starter
GA's N650i DS4L motherboard doesn't support the new 45nm technologies....I find this frustrating since ASUS and a few other board co's with similar boards are putting out bios updates to counter this, I'll have to be looking for a new board and If I go SLI eventually I'd like to have a 780-790i board. They are too expensive for now, and the wallet friendly P35 and 45 chipsets don't support SLI, only Crossfire. Uggg lol.

you could go p35/45 and throw in two 4850/4870 in CF.

And then be wondering why you're not even close to the performance that you were expecting.

If you're doing two of the new 4xxx series in CF, you SHOULD get a x38 or x48 based board. The P35\\P45's only have one x16 lane, and the 4xxx series is severly limited by x8 PCI-e lanes.

well 45nm quads are more problematic, but dual 45nm proc's shouldnt have any issues.
