Trivia:
Kone = "machine" in finnish
Valo = "light" in finnish

I have to totally disagree with the post saying that MX revo is a good gaming mouse.

I bought one for gaming a year ago and i was disappointed as i couldn't feel much of a difference compared to my old IntelliMouse Explorer. I bought a Habu Razer and the improvement it offered compared to the MX is clear to me.

I don't know how a cordless "office mouse" could ever stand a chance against a corded gaming mouse with 1600 < dpi

Does anyone here own the Roccat Valo keyboard? - just ordered one, looks almost too sweet
Haswell fun.

Lol seriously - at all those buying it for the looks, shut up. Shut up or go buy an alienware.

Alternatively, check the mouse + pad FAQ in my sig... it says why laser is bad and you should kill yourself if you even consider a laser mouse.

Not everyone is the same and it can be difficult to find a mouse that works best. Gaming mice usually better as they have better trackibility along with custimizable drivers for sensitivities. Out of all my mice, it has taken years to find a nice mouse with beauitful feet like this razer diamondback. Mice really depend on the person, it it feels nice to your hand, then get it. If you can click comfortably with it, get it. If the sensitivity works for you, get it. It all depends on taste. On RTS style games, I usually perfer a mouse with a high DPI, anything from 800+, however, when in a FPS game, 400 or as low as possible before it feels unsynced (it needs to scale nicely on screen size to mouse pad ratio )......

btw, this mouse looks bland to me....imo

I'm not shure if I already did write it in this Thread.
But I had the chance to use this mouse on this years Games Convention in Leipzig.
There you could try differnet games with it and could change the complete driver menu.

First the most important: it felt not worse than my MX518.
Not worse is of cause not worth buying a new mouse.
I sadly couldn't play UT what is the 3D game I would recognize a difference in.

Secondly I was impressed by the features it comes with.
- you can set up 5 LEDs (top and bottom of the stripes left/rigth hand + logo) in your favorite colour (colour picker, not only red and blue).
- you can hover the mouse very close above the mouse pad but the arrow does not move (gamers know about the problem) !!
- it has 10 buttons 6 you can set up completely as you wish
- you can set up different profiles (not only dpi setting) that are stored on the mouse and be ready on every PC on plugin
- you can set up macros (I don't see the point in this but anyway ;o) )
- there is a special sensor in it that tries to recognize your mouse pad and changes the setup to it
- it comes with 2000 dpi Laser, that works really great (their mousepads they used there are good, too and take a bit of this performance I think)
- you can set the update rate over USB bus !

I think this mouse will change the market for gamers.
But in the end the price may be the key of choice ;o)

I never saw the point of weights. I always find myself getting rid of the weight cartridge whenever I use a G5 or G7 mouse.

All of which the Deathadder has too, with the exception of the special sensor, 2000 DPI Laser (instead 1800DPI 3G Infrared) and the buttons. And of course the LEDs, which is just a cosmetic thing (I mean, come on, holy crap I play much better with blue lights than red lights! )
