Danger Temp?

i was playing a game and after i stopped i checked and saw that my gfx card temp was 95c is this safe? my card is an 9800 gtx

The G92 chips should be safe up to about 100C. They're rated to run over that, but I personally wouldn't. That is a high temp, I would drop it by manually increasing fan speed with Rivatuner, you should be able to drop temps down to the 50/60's

That's high mate, my two don't go over 76c. as Nellys197 said grab Rivatuner and up the fan speed.

Did you by any chance see the fan speed? Sometimes they dont increase speed on their own as the temp gets higher.

my 8800gts OC'd to 800/2000/1000 runs at around 65c full load and idles at low 40ish..

google "RivaTuner" and download the newest version.. under the fan control tab set it to 70% or higher (I do 80%).. problem fixed !

if not, take the hard over off (peel off the logo sticker and there are only like 4 screws to take off) from the card and let the heatsick expose. get a 120mm fan and blow toward it would help further more.

thanks for the info, it seems that my fan speed didnt increase from 35% my card usually idles around 51c and around 76c on load
