Is that a power ranger?
That's the ugliest thing I have ever laid my eyes on.

It looks mean whatever it is. I think I saw Scooby Doo kick that thing's ass in an episode once.

Ooooh . . . right! I remember that! It later shouted something along the lines of you crazy kids, and having almost been able to get away with it. How could I have forgotten?

Still . . . a power ranger. Congrats World of Warcraft! You bring the child out in everyone!

AoC is not the better game....Plain and simple.
AoC is instanced to hell...and it sucks a lot. It kills the feel of things when you're running along through an area and oh oops I have to load to cross into this next door area...sweet.

Just to point some flaws out...since that article praised so much.

Funcom responds fast...sure, that's accurate, but most patches break more than they fix.
Let's look on the box and see what was actually in game at launch (and don't start with the "well why do you need end game content if you just started" BS...it should be there whether I'm level 2 or 60, plain and simple.)

Shape a unique character-check, character creation is great

Create guilds-check

Craft-.....if you want to call what this game has crafting, then check i guess. if you like pulling hair out that is.

Socialize-grouping in this game is about as rare as George Bush reacting quickly to a national disaster.

Build sprawling cities or massive battle keeps-half check, you can build cities but wait...no npc's, no bonuses from city buildings...oops

Drunken brawling? Sadly no

There are three things that killed this game for me.
1. Instancing-It's 100% completely lame in an MMO. If they weren't releasing it on Xbox360 I think they could have made it one massive world where very minimal instancing was required (such as traveling via ship).
2. The amount of bugs at launch (OMG YOU NEVAR PLAYED MMO AT LAUNCH B4?!?!) Yes, I have. I played SWG in fact, the most FUBARed MMO launch ever. But even they didn't have bugs this rudimentary and obvious. The bugs I ran into in my 40 levels were stupidly simple things that should have been caught right away in beta.
3. The game simply did not deliver on what it promised. The cities aren't even completely functional. Sieging is broken. Armor benefits do nothing...the difference between full plate and silk is literally 1-2 damage points (explain that, because I sure as hell can't), there is a huge lack of content in the middle levels and end game.

I hate instancing and I hate being lied to...therefore I say don't waste your time with AoC, unless you know...you like an incomplete game with lots of instancing and imbalanced classes and broken/non working features...

At least it's pretty?

You need to grow up and stop flaming How can you criticise wow players for being childish when you act like this? Seriously mate if you dont have something good to say then keep your mouth shut...

I say go buy it and hopefully you'll like it, if not it can go in the cubord with all the other unloved old games

Honestly compared to WoW, AoC is having a much stronger launch and a smarter user-base.
You won't lose your life at least..

I kind of got bored, I was forcing myself to play as far as I did... Until I realized that I was just button mashing all over again, and waiting copious amounts of time to get a new spell or ability that was the same ol thing. Another thing, It seems you either totally dominate the enemies you are fighting or you lose horribly. I guess most games are like that, but I just kind of got bored at lvl 27 or so and have stopped playing. So has the person whom I share our account with unfortunatly. I might go back someday, not a whole lot of time right now and I don't really enjoy spending my free time vegging out in the AoC world.

I'm almost lvl 30 and I haven't been in a useful group yet, cept with one local friend I have, but he has surpassed me in level by far and now doesn't even bother to adventure with me...

The graphics are good if your system can handle it and it's fun for awhile, but the bugs detract from the game and it can get boring FAST...

I played wow from launch until February/March of last year. Since then I haven't been able to pick it up again for whatever reason. I just started playing AOC and really like it so far. Here are some things that I like about it in to particular order.

So far everything is smooth
Devs release updates twice a week
It has a that new kind of feeling that wow lost a long time ago
Combat is actually pretty fun
the game looks good
Violence is cool
and boobs

Sure there are problems but there are always going to be with todays mmo's. It seems like the only people who bash this game are either former or current wow players. Wow is a fun game but it had just as many problems in it's first year. Both games are fun but I'm burnt out of wow and ready to try something new.

I've only played it for a couple hours and watched my brother play, but from what I can tell, if they keep doing things they way they are doing them, this game will stay successful.
