That is what I been using.The 128k stripe. I always thought that was the default.

From what I remember from my days of RAID experimentation, the default value should always be used (no matter what it is) unless you have a specific reason not to. I used to tune the RAID based on the type and size of files being served up. Millions of small files require a different stripe than a few hundred large video files to achieve the best performance. Mixed use disks (the category 99% of home consumers disks fall into), should use the default stripe size. Depending on the controller (and the cost of), this will be anywhere from 64-256kb usually 128kb.
