ROFL generalize much? Believe it or not there are some country people that know PCs.......I mean they don't have anything to do way out there in the boonies......

Let's stop all the generalizations.......UGH. I've lived many different places (born in Germany), and trust me....people are nearly the same everywhere. There are subtle differences, but we all value the same basic things in life.
There are pieces of crap wherever you go, but there are also really great people....so let's get off the high horse people.

I absolutely agree with you, America has a totally different social trend to Europe. I think people miss-understood your first post as saying 'oh well that's just Europe' were as I think you meant 'Well yea, in Europe. But not in America' It just came off a bit arrogant and so some people got the wrong end of the stick.

However I do agree with you fully, the American lifestyle is completely different which could explain the reasons why consoles are so popular.

OK at first I thought you was being sarcastic, but then I realised you were being serious. You realize that is the most stupid thing I have ever heard and you were most probably just trying to start a flame war....which I refuse to get involved in.

America has some of the best PC techs in the world.....if not one of the leading countries. Hackers are closer to homemy friend, we all have them. And besides this poll is about gaming.

Note that it doesn't say 'Which country has the most hackers'

+ Rep

I could not agree more, I hate the whole 'which country is better' argument. I would love to live in certain parts of the US, I would also love to live in certain parts of the UK.....Spain.....Germany....Japan......Greece..... Australia. No country is the best, and I see no reason why people should argue about it.

EDIT: I pressed a button, slipped then pressed enter. So if you have a very short and confusing rep message....you know why lol

LOL NP. I would love to go to Europe (specifically Germany) for my honeymoon, but that would cost a fortune most likely.....I'll visit sometime though.

Totally different consumer culture. Americans buy a lot of garbage they don't need, therefore 1/3 homes own a playstation 1.

Since europeans dont buy as much, they are far less likely to buy a playstation/360/wii because they dont need them as much as they need a pc.

I agree to some extent. We don't go to town on entertainments over here like yonder but I think we're getting more and more like the US, difference is astounding as the booms gone on, people never used to care so much about tv's etc, now everyone has a 42" LCD and a wii lol.

Well, it looks like "ALL" indicating that 100% of the European gamers hack PC titles was in fact, incorrect.

Quote:
"Some estimates show that as much as 50% of game sales are lost to piracy in the US.

"In Eastern Europe, Asia and South America the losses are estimated to be 90% plus," he said.
