doing some research, i think it kind of compares to the HD3850 correct?

as duckieHo said it is basically the 9600GSO which are going for more in $$$.

the card will be in a E4500 system with 2Gb ram running windows xp x86.

not much OC on the CPU as for the stock cooler.

what to do what to do, only if didn't buy that HD4850 (not that im regretting it)

Funny coincidence, I'm installing drivers on a build with a 8800 GS right now.

I'm running 177.19, not the .35 modded, and this thing is just RIPPING through work units. ATM it's running a 5002 WU, which are harder to crunch according to Fahmon and my 8800 GT, and it's reporting 3000 PPD starred, with a stock card. Pretty damned impressive.

It's a fine card if you ask me, specially for folding.

Just one thing, DO NOT get the XFX with the partial cover cooler unless you plan to get a Duorb... the damned thing is awfully loud.

EDIT: 3200 PPD. I'm lolling, I feel I'm getting ripped off with my 8800 GT. New driver's are teh bomb?

It may drops a bit but I think it is pretty much for the near term.

Maybe. But if you have any question about the 8800GS just ask me.

Well the 8800GS is a G92 chipset which can do Physx.

Probably not.... just clearing stock of the 8800GS branded cards.
Once again...

When i was looking at the 8800GS back two weeks ago, i found some interesting finds, the 8800gs actually performs on par with the 9600GT in most games at resolution of 1280x1024 and lower. The 9600GT was only ahead by 3-4 frames a second. Also the thing overclocks very well people said they easily get it over 700Mhz, i think you need a mod in its bios to go past 660Mhz
